2021 Hobby Stock Champion
Tom Stephens Jr. is a proud competitor in the 805 Hobby Stock and 805 Pro Dwarf Car divisions, racing at Ventura Raceway, Santa Maria Speedway, and Kevin Harvick’s Kern County Raceway. Known for his smooth driving style, determination, and deep racing knowledge, Tom has earned multiple wins and the respect of racers across California. His career highlights include being crowned the 2021 Hobby Stock Champion at Ventura Raceway.
Over the years, Tom has competed in a wide variety of divisions, gaining valuable experience and versatility behind the wheel. His racing resume includes a half-season in Pony Stock, one full season in I-4 Modified, two races in an IMCA Modified, four to five seasons in Hobby Stock, four to five seasons in Dwarf Car, and even one memorable race in a Sprint Car. Each lap has added to the legacy he continues to build on the dirt.
Racing is more than a pastime for Tom. It is a lifelong passion fueled by family, hard work, and a love for the sport that has been passed down through generations. Off the track, he is a devoted family man who always puts his kids’ racing needs first, both at home and at the track.
Tom races alongside his father, Tom Stephens Sr., while his son is proudly following in their footsteps — making the Stephens family three generations of racers who represent the heart and heritage of grassroots dirt track racing.
He proudly represents 805 Bail Bonds, T&S Automotive, 3 Wide GFX Design, ER Welding, and The Perfect Pour, carrying their names with pride as he continues to chase victories and embody the true spirit of dirt track life.
Bennie Scorsur
Madisonville, Kentucky | Dwarf Car / Future CRUSA Street Stock
Now based in Madisonville, Kentucky, Bennie Scorsur began his dirt track journey behind the wheel of a Dwarf car, competing at Ventura Raceway and Kevin Harvick’s Kern County Raceway in California. Though his first season was short, it was filled with valuable experience, lessons learned, and a deep appreciation for the sport and its community.
Racing alongside Tom Stephens Jr. and supported by his daughter, Bennie turned his first season into a true family experience, learning the car and the craft together. With the backing of 805 Bail Bonds, Barnett Clutches, and 3 Wide GFX Design, he’s already preparing for a return to racing in the 2026 season, setting his sights on joining the CRUSA Street Stock class.
For Bennie, racing has always been about more than turning laps. It’s about family, teamwork, and the shared passion that defines the grassroots dirt track community.
